Identify your negative behavioral patterns. Recognizing these patterns will help you become more aware of your own habits – some of which may be serving as a deterrent to your own success.

Let go of any habits and patterns that no longer serve you.

Just as you would de-clutter your closet periodically, take care of your mind the same way. Only keep things that continue to serve a purpose in your life, allowing anything that doesn’t to be left out. 

Break old, toxic patterns. Emerge with renewed and healthier habits and look for ways in which you can bring out the best in yourself.

It may help to wonder:

  • Why do I continue to stick to old habits that I know no longer serve me?
  • Is there something I can change about my current patterns to accelerate my growth?
  • When is the last time I analyzed my thought patterns, my habits, or my behaviors?
  • Why am I reluctant to make these positive changes in my life?

Being able to answer some or all of these questions will help you gain the clarity you require to take that first step. The first step which, in most cases, can be the most difficult of them all.
