Parenting may sometimes seem like the most difficult job in this world. But it can also be a very fulfilling experience if you just learn to find a balance. Every kid is unique and comes with their own set of challenges that you need to overcome in order to raise them. So there are no hard and fast rules on how to raise them.
But the most important thing that will help you raise well-adjusted kids is when you are at peace with yourself and your family. Kids imitate their parents/elders. So it is necessary to set a good example in front of them. Instead of shouting at them for the mistakes they make, let them make you their confidante.
When kids see a peaceful environment at home and feel that they can be honest with their caretakers, they are much more likely to come to you when they mess up instead of trying to hide it from you. Of course, you will have to correct them when they are wrong or make a mistake; that’s your job as a parent. But learn to do it without scolding or insulting them, and you are already halfway to raising well-adjusted kids.
